Hudson, William Robert
William Robert Hudson, 83, of Bowling Green, died at 12:50 p.m. July 13, 2010, in Bowling Green.He was born Jan. 30, 1927. He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church, a Mason and a member of the Eastern Star. He was a World War II Army veteran and an avid drag racer. He was known as “Pappie Hudson.” He was retired from Eaton Industry. He was a son of the late Robert A. Hudson and Eva Bratcher Hudson and the husband of the late Margaret Christine Hudson.Funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or Memorial for World War II Vets.Online condolences may be made at jckirbyandson.com.Survivors include a son, Ronald Hudson and his wife, Gail, of Bowling Green; two daughters, Vicki Kitchens, of Bowling Green, and Becky Gray and her husband, Wayne, of Alvaton; a sister, Grady Harris, of New Mexico; three brothers, Jerry Hudson and his wife, Sue, of Bowling Green, and Kelly Hudson and his wife, Sue, and Coy Hudson and his wife, Cecille, all of Richardsville; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
